As a response to the irregular shape of the parcel, the building mass is gradually set back on plan from the North West to the South West of the front boundary. Different unit typologies as diverse as 1+1, 2+1, 3+1, 4+1 are accommodated with the use of this rhythm on plan, whose dynamic appearance is enhanced with the application of wooden material on parts of the facade. The totality of scheme has been conceived as a series of adjacent buildings that internally work independently. The topography allowed for an entry from the rear, and circulation was designed on a single linear axis. This arrangement of the cores’ alignment on the rear proved desirable as living areas of residential units were oriented towards the view of forest.

The design called for a podium that changed level at its base according to varying levels of topography, and was identified from the upper parts of the building by means of colour and material differentiation. At the wide boundary of the site the proximity of two blocks was designed in such a manner to create a canyon effect with the resulting airflow and daylight. The understanding of the imperative to provide daylight to the social spaces on lower storeys also has lead to leaving the blocks separated at this location. The preferred building form and the particular shape of the parcel resulted in angular forms in certain locations which evolved in design into rounder forms and were purposed as balconies.
